Get the look: Inspired by a Cornish seaside home
With its stunning coastal views and refined minimalist styling, the owners of this luxury beachside retreat in Cornwall have created a stunning kitchen space that is both elegant and functional.
We were incredibly excited to be involved with this award-winning project, with one of our new Atlantic Ocean designs taking centre stage as a 5sqm piece of bespoke glass art. Commissioned by Falmouth-based Now Kitchens, we worked with the designer and the client to create something that would add a real dose of ‘wow’ to their new space.
Fronting the kitchen island, the large art glass panel features our Dusk on the Water artwork in blue. With colours inspired by clear blue summer seas and wild Atlantic vistas, the panel provides a dramatic contrast to the monochrome kitchen.
In addition to the kitchen island, we also supplied two other large pieces of glass. Designed to blend in with the muted tones of the surrounding kitchen units, we used our Inch-by-Inch design in monochrome on a subtle satin finish glass to create beautiful splashbacks for the shelving areas and drinks cabinet. Blending with the overall colour scheme, Inch by Inch was chosen as a nod to the statuesque pines of the adjacent coastline.
Designer Jono Peck from Now Kitchens commented, “My plan was to incorporate a final detail that elevated the kitchen into something truly spectacular. After weeks of searching for the right material and finish, we found Sally’s work. Red Dog Glass Design was the perfect partner to deliver something completely unique for the client, something that adds a huge amount of impact to what is already a beautiful space.”
